Environmental Education Funds (CEE)

by admin last modified 2007-10-11 11:04

Integrating environmental education across the campus is key part of the Center for
Environmental Education. The goals of the center focus on the integration and multi-disciplinary
aspects of environmental education, as well as place-based learning. The centers’ goals are listed
on our web site (http://eec.moreheadstate.edu) to help direct your proposal for environmental
enhancement funds.

The Environmental Enhancement funds are designed to fund projects that fulfill the broad
objectives of the Center for Environmental Education. Proposals shall not exceed two pages
(single space, 12 point font), and must include a detailed budget. Maximum funding is $2,000
per project. Funding may be requested for stipends, supplies, and travel. Those requesting funds
must complete the Environmental Education Survey. Projects must have measurable outcomes.
Each project must also be approved by the Chair of the Department in which the proposal is
being generated. If submitting electronically, the Chair of the department shall be copied on the
email.

Proposals may be sent electronically (saves paper) to the Director, April Haight, at:
a.haight@moreheadstate.edu, or delivered to the Institute for Regional Analysis and Public
Policy, 110F Bert Combs Building
. Proposals must be submitted no later than noon, November
5, 2007. You will receive an email back to confirm that your request has been received.
All tenure and tenure-track faculty as well as professional staff are eligible to apply for the
enhancement funds. The Center for Environmental Education will hold and distribute funds, and
may terminate the agreement if significant progress or output is not documented. Final
distribution and stipends will be dispersed upon the project completion and/or approval of the
final report. The final report is due on May 30, 2008.
