The Licking River Watershed Watch group will be hosting a meeting at the Rowan County Public Library on August 9th.  The meeting will start at 6:00 P.M. and is expected to last about 1.5 hours.  The purpose of the meeting is to share the results of recent water sampling and water quality test conducted by trained volunteers.  The counties that will be covered are Bath, Flemings, Lewis, Menifee, Morgan, Mason, and Rowan.

Watershed Watch is a non-profit organization dedicated to involving the public in water quality issues and increasing awareness of water quality concerns.  Who should attend this meeting?  The meeting is for anyone interest in the health of our waterways, current volunteers, people that are interested in volunteering, and public officials.  For more information contact April Haight, Director of MSU Environmental Education Center, at 783-2455 or Lajuanda Haight-Maybriar, Licking River Basin Coordinator, at (502) 564-3410.
