“Project WILD is one of the most widely-used conservation and environmental education programs among educators of students in kindergarten through high school. The program emphasizes wildlife because of their intrinsic, ecological value, as well as their role in teaching how ecosystems function. The instructional materials are designed to support state and national academic standards appropriate for grades K-12. The activities can easily be adapted to meet the learning requirements for academic disciplines ranging from science and environmental education to social studies, math, and language arts.”
This workshop is free to everyone.
Email April Haight at a.haight@moreheadstate.edu to sign up for the workshop. The email should include you name, address, phone number, employer (if applicable), and age groups taught.
This workshop is funded by Fish and Wildlife and by a grant from the Kentucky Environmental Education Council.
Campus housing is available for a fee. Contact Rebecca McGinnis at r.mcginn@moreheadstate.edu or call (606)783-5174 to reserve a room.
